Mystic Saddle Ranch LLC is looking for qualified men and women who enjoy working with the public, are friendly and outgoing, outdoors oriented and is eager to learn new skills. Some horse and people experience is required to apply for the job.

SEASON: The season will vary depending on the job applied for. Everyone will need to start no later than June 15th. All employees are expected to work through Labor Day or longer ! Fall employees will be needed until Mid-October.

The owners currently have an operation in Phoenix , AZ which runs from mid-October to early May. Qualified applicants would be considered for year round work if you are willing to make the move back and forth annually. Check this operation out at: www.cavecreektrailrides.com

HOUSING: There are several housing options available depending on your needs.

SALARY: Monthly salaries vary and are based on experience, position and number of years with Mystic Saddle Ranch LLC. Each employee is paid a monthly salary. Base wages start at $1300.00 per month based on a 6-day workweek.

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

1. Daily operation of Redfish Corral or Galena Corral
2. Oversee 2-5 other employees
3. Upkeep of tack
4. Upkeep of Horses
5. Doctoring of sick and injured horses
6. Responsible for corral & tack shed-upkeep and appearance
7. Responsible for daily books
8. Lead guided horseback trips with groups of 1-8
Other duties as assigned such as but not limited to:
Maintain cleaning corrals
Painting corrals
Unloading hay
Cleaning trails
Maintaining tack
Vehicle maintenance
Catering

3. Feed and care of horses
4. Doctor sick and injured horses
5. Saddling and unsaddling horses

1. FRIENDLY AND COURTEOUS TO GUEST
2. Take money and have guest sign appropriate forms
3. Fit helmets to guest as needed
4. Maintain and do daily books
5. Keep tack shed neat and clean
6. Coordinate with Corral Manager on number of head available to book on a daily basis
7. Assist with horses as time allows
8. Keep corral and public areas neat and clean
9. Other duties as assign by Corral Manager or owners

1. Lead and facilitate pack trips and day rides into the Sawtooth Wilderness and other areas.
2. Prep of equipment, horses, tack and camp gear prior to trip
3. Selection and movement of horses to trailhead
4. Teach guest about horses and surrounding area as applicable
5. Prep and cook food while on trips for guest
6. Care of Stock during trip
7. Return equipment & horses to appropriate place upon completion of trip.

2. Be willing to prepare and clean up for staff meals. Bake, prep pack trips, housework as needed, run errands, etc...

8. Catering during the summer months is a big part of what we do. It includes all of the above and more. BE READY.

• Payday is on the 5th of each month.

• One day off per week
• Mystic Saddle Ranch LLC will pay for your guide license as long as the term of employment is fulfilled.
• Transportation to and from corrals will be your responsibility. Work vehicles will be provided, as needed for Mystic Saddle Ranch LLC employees.

1. Galena Stage Stop Corral: Located 20 miles north of Ketchum on State Highway 75. We run 20 head of riding stock and do 1 1/2 hour rides and 1/2 day and all day rides as well as weekly hayrides in conjunction with Galena Lodge. Staff of 3-4 employees. Housing is provided and you do your own food.
2. Redfish Corral: Located 5 miles south of Stanley on the Redfish Lake Road. We run 30-40 head of stock and do 1 1/2 hour rides, 1/2 day rides and all day rides. Staff of 5-6 employees. Housing is as follows: rental house shared by other staff or provide your own housing.
3. Mystic Saddle Ranch LLC: The house is located 15 miles south of Stanley on Highway 75. We offer day rides and extended day pack trips into the Sawtooth Wilderness and the Frank Church Wilderness. We run 30-40 head of stock, both riding and pack. Staff of 5-6 employees. Board and room is available at the base location or you may provide your own.
4. Fall Hunting: We offer elk and deer combo hunts in September & October. All our hunts are drop camps with hunters going into wall tent base camps.
5. Catering: We do catered meal events during the course of the summer. We usually hire additional help with this, but at times you may be asked to assist in setting up, taking down, or at the actual event.
